da cassino: Alex Neil is still searching for his first win in League One as Sunderland boss after they were held 1-1 at home to Burton Albion on Tuesday night.
da betsson: Ross Stewart came to the rescue once again for the hosts, equalising in injury time after former Manchester United youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson scored earlier on in the second half.
There were some pretty underwhelming performances from the Wearside club at the Stadium of Light, and The Transfer Tavern have used statistical experts SofaScore to now analyse who their three worst players (to have played at least 45 minutes) were on the night:
Jermain Defoe
Defoe was given a 6.6 overall rating, and so was ranked as the Black Cats’ third-worst performer.
The former Glasgow Rangers striker lost out on one of his duels, and also failed to record a single shot on target, dribble or key pass, having had a mere 16 touches of the ball in total.
He was also guilty of losing possession six times, and was subbed off in the 70th minute with his team behind, highlighting his lack of impact on the game.
Callum Doyle
Doyle was ranked as SAFC’s second-worst player with a 6.5 rating.
The central defender lost six duels in total, and never managed to make any interceptions, while he lost the ball on no fewer than on 19 separate occasions in the match, the third-most out of any of his teammates.
Dennis Cirkin
With a 6.2 rating given, Cirkin was ranked as Sunderland’s worst performer.
The left-back was also unsuccessful in six of his duels, and failed to make a successful dribble, interception or tackle, while he was inaccurate with all seven of his long balls. Cirkin also lost the ball 17 times in total, the fourth-most for the home side.
