Things seem to be going down a similar path for the attacker this season as well, with WhoScored giving him an overall rating of 6.65/10 for his league efforts this time around, highlighting the lack of improvement in his game.
As well as his questionable performances on the pitch, injuries have also hampered the former Valencia star’s time at Elland Road too, which will have been frustrating for everyone at the club.
Overall, there is a strong argument to be made that Leeds have not got their money’s worth from Rodrigo just yet, whose current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024.
Moving forward, with striker Patrick Bamford having missed so much of the season through injury, the best thing Rodrigo can do now would be to try and get a consistent run of form under his belt and as many goals as possible to help his side end the campaign as strongly as possible and show why the club haven’t wasted the £33.6m they’ve spent on him with his transfer fee and wages combined.
