da spicy bet: It would be fair to say that the USA supporters were not pleased with the performance of Tottenham Hotspur’s Cameron Carter-Vickers in his country’s friendly with Italy.
Carter-Vickers earned his seventh cap for the United States in their 1-0 defeat to the Italians, playing the full 90 minutes in central defence.
The 20-year-old was also in the squad for the clash with England last week, but failed to make it off the bench.
Carter-Vickers came through the youth system at Tottenham, and has made four first-team appearances for the Premier League club.
The defender was on loan at Sheffield United and Ipswich Town last season though, before moving to Swansea City on loan ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
Playmaker FC’s Matchday with Max caught up with Jamaica’s women’s team. See what happened when he met the history makers in the video below…
He has only made four Championship appearances this term, however, and did not impress the USA supporters with his performance on Tuesday night.
Carter-Vickers is still in the very early stages of his career, but has received some pretty stinging criticism.
