da brdice: With Fabinho arriving in a surprise move from Monaco earlier this week and the Naby Keita deal tied up last summer, Liverpool are set to enter 2018/19 with an almost completely new look midfield – the only element of consistency coming from the third engine room slot in Jurgen Klopp’s trusted 4-3-3 formation.
da bet nacional: But who deserves to fill it remains an interesting question. Another midfield signing appears incredibly unlikely, and even with Emre Can expected to move on once his contract expires Klopp is left with six incredibly varied options already at the club to choose from.
Football FanCast laid out the positives and negatives of all six earlier this week, and the most popular candidate by a clear majority was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 58% of those who took part in our poll voting for the dynamic and powerful England international.
There wasn’t much to choose between the remaining five options, although Jordan Henderson received the second-most votes with 18%, surprisingly followed up by promising youngster Marko Grujic – who spent the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff City.
