da aposte e ganhe: Manchester United’s injury list is growing seemingly by the day. With as many as seven players either doubtful or fully ruled out for this weekend’s home game against Southampton, Jose Mourinho is presiding over a side which is already depleted.
da marjack bet: On top of that, though, with a trip to Sam Allardyce’s Everton up just two days later, and with some of his best players having already played a string of gruelling 90 minute tests with little rest in between, the United manager may well have to dig into the resources and play weaker teams than he may have liked against both the Saints and the Toffees either side of the New Year celebrations.
With that in mind, we asked Manchester United fans whether Mourinho should start Lukaku or Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Southampton. The response, though, was the kind you might have expected: inconclusive.
Lukaku hasn’t scored a goal in three games, since his headed opener against West Brom just before the start of the Christmas period – he ended a goal drought at the start of December only to seemingly start a new one just a couple of games later. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, too, has only scored once all season – a free-kick against Bristol City in the League Cup.
With Anthony Martial a doubt for the clash at the weekend, and with Marcus Rashford goalless in five appearances since the Manchester derby, it seems as though everyone at United is undecided on just what the best way forward is.
