da bet esporte: Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has spoken out about the club’s transfer business in January, as well as sending a teasing message during an interview with Sky Sports News.
What’s he said?
The Gunners completed a deal to sign Cedric on loan during deadline day but it was made pretty apparent by journalist Sam Dean that no further bodies would be coming in.
That seems understandable given the club have already recruited two defenders this month.

However, during a live interview with Sky Sports (31/01/2020), Arteta muttered the words, “never say never, there’s still nine hours left,” in regards to potential incomings during the remaining time left in the transfer window.
Surprising if further business was on the table
This update from Arteta was rather cryptic but it brought back memories of the wry smiles Arsene Wenger used to give when talking about transfers.
This may give slim hope to those associated with the club that further business could be concluded before the window but it’s hard to see where that would lie.

Arsenal have been poor defensively this term, conceding 34 goals in just 24 matches in the Premier League. On top of that, they sit in tenth place which is hardly ideal.
That being said, with the additions of Cedric and Pablo Mari on loan, they look like they’re well prepared to deal with the requirements for the rest of the season. It would be foolish if the Gunners decided to panic in the final hours and bring in a body that isn’t necessarily needed.
