da bet7: Kieran Devlin, Celtic’s correspondent for The Athletic, has stated that Kyogo Furuhashi and David Turnbull still have a way to go before making a return to action.
The Lowdown: Europa Conference League inclusion
da 888: Both Furuhashi and Turnbull haven’t featured since the winter break due to their respective hamstring problems.

However, the pair have been included in the club’s 25-man Europa Conference League squad, along with January signings Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley, prompting excitement from Frank McAvennie about a possible return.
Celtic continued their winning run since returning from the winter break with a 3-2 victory over Aberdeen, but it seems as if Postecoglou will be without the star duo for a while longer.
The Latest: Devlin’s claim
Devlin shared an in-depth story on The Athletic following Celtic’s triumph at Pittodrie, looking at Postecoglou’s strength in depth.
However, when it came to Furuhashi and Turnbull, Devlin said that the pair ‘are still some way from returning from injury’ – a worrying eight-word update.
The Verdict: Not ideal
Sunday’s Scottish Cup clash with Raith Rovers will be the 10th game in all competitions without Turnbull, whereas Furuhashi has played just 15 minutes in the last 11 games.
Both have starred this season with Turnbull creating 99 chances – more than twice as many as Liel Abada who is second on the list. Furuhashi has also scored more goals than any Hoops player, so knowing the pair still have some way to go before returning isn’t ideal.
Hopefully, they can be back playing regularly before Celtic’s trip to Ibrox on April 3, in what could prove to be a title decider.
