da roleta: These Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Telegraph reported that Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe has emerged as a potential option for the Eagles.
da pixbet: The former Liverpool man is currently out of favour under Eddie Howe at the Vitality Stadium, failing to make a Premier League start this season having been limited to just two appearances off the bench.
Ibe is believed to be available on the cheap as his contract with the Cherries is set to expire in the summer, while clubs in China are also monitoring the Englishman who has scored just five goals in 92 outings for Bournemouth since his £15m move to the south coast.
The 24-year-old – who was recently accused of crashing his Bentley into a coffee shop in Bromley – has seen his career stall under Howe having previously impressed at Liverpool, where Jurgen Klopp praised the attacker and called him a “brilliant, big talent.”
“He’s still a brilliant, big talent which is very good for English football. He did well with the pass for the first goal, and the cross for the second. I was very happy. It was a beautiful pass from Jordon Ibe [for Sturridge’s goal]. We had a lot of moments and it’s absolutely exciting.”
Let’s see how the Palace fans on Twitter reacted to the news…
To kick off the discussion, these two Palace fans didn’t sound too pleased with the news.
One said that the south Londoners are a “banter club” after hearing of the interest in Ibe, while another said that they’d be “genuinely lost for words” if this transfer update is indeed true.
Contrastingly, this pair of Palace supporters were open-minded over a potential move for Ibe.
One said that there is “a decent player in there” and that they wouldn’t be averse to the signing if he arrives at “the right price”.
Another said that Ibe is “a Palace sort of player” and that he could be a good signing “if cheap enough”.
Contrastingly, Scott seemingly wants nothing to do with Ibe, saying that he “would be disruptive” and that there has to be a reason he hasn’t succeeded given his talent.
It’s the dawn of a new decade in the Premier League, but how much do you know about the last 10 years?
Lastly, Jack did not agree with Scott’s opinion, saying that “Roy will like him” as Ibe has Premier League experience, although said that it doesn’t sound like “diligent and brave” scouting from the south London club.
