Per an interview with The Leicester Mercury, James Justin has been tipped to make the England squad by his former youth coach Paul Driver.
What’s he said?
Justin completed his move to Leicester a few weeks ago, becoming the Foxes’ first signing of the summer window.
He was impressive for Luton last term, as he found himself a part of their promotion-winning campaign in what was a breakthrough term for the 21-year-old who played 43 times in League One.
Possessing great versatility, he could be used in either full-back position or in midfield next season.
The 6 foot defender, however, is already being tipped for great things. So much so that Driver, who coached him during his youth days at Luton, is backing him to eventually make the England squad and provide competition with Ben Chilwell.
Speaking to The Leicester Mercury he said:
“Hopefully, Leicester could have two England full-backs. Now he is at a top level Premier League club it will give him a better chance of getting into that England set-up, like Ben.
“You have Chilwell at left-back, when he needs rest with various competitions after England games, James can cover in there for him, but he is a different player.”

Leicester continuing to provide the stars of tomorrow
It remains to be seen whether Justin has the capabilities to make it into the England squad but at Leicester he may have the perfect club and perfect manager in Brendan Rodgers to help him get there.
The Foxes have become a team filled with young stars and there are a number of players who could become England regulars in the years to come.
Chilwell has already established himself at left-back, earning seven caps for his country. whilst James Maddison will surely play a larger part in the Three Lions set-up after rather harshly missing out on a place in the Nations League. That was despite creating 100 chances in the Premier League in 2018/19.
In midfield, they also have Hamza Choudhury starting to make an impact, and he was among the travelling party to Italy for the European U21 Championships with England. The same could be said for attacker Harvey Barnes.

It’s clear the Midlands outfit are producing an exceptional platform for young players to flourish in and that should continue to get better now Rodgers will have a full pre-season with his players.
The youngster’s versatility should be of great benefit and that should stand him in particularly good stead if he is ever considered for England. In recent times Gareth Southgate has preferred players like Fabian Delph who can feature in two positions.
With that in mind, it may not be too long before we start to see him stake his claim.
