Edmondson, starting up front for Carlos Corberan’s men, put his side up front in the 24th minute, calmly slotting the ball into the corner after running onto a through ball, and then, as soon as the second half began, doubled his tally with similar aplomb.
The 17-year-old is clearly showing a huge amount of promise and could be the next youngster to breakthrough to the first team on a consistent basis having made two appearances earlier in the campaign – Marcelo Bielsa has made clear his intentions to blood youth wherever possible as the likes of Jack Clarke come through the academy and thrive in the Championship.

With top-scorer Kemar Roofe out injured, the burden of goals lies with Patrick Bamford, who has also been blighted by injuries this season himself. Could young number nine Edmondson be ushered onto the bench at some point between now at the end of the campaign if he continues his goalscoring exploits?
