da brdice: Tyler Roberts is finally edging closer to full fitness after his injury problems saw him miss months of action for Leeds United.
For the first time since he was ruled out back in May, Roberts was named in United’s U23 side.
He started on the bench against Crystal Palace, before being subbed on for the second half.
It wasn’t the most exciting of games as it finished 0-0, but Roberts was clearly glad just to be back in action.
Before the game, he posted an image of the pitch on his story with the caption ‘Been a while’, accompanied by some emojis.
This post and the subsequent appearance should excite supporters of the Yorkshire club.
Roberts was an important player for Marcelo Bielsa last term as he appeared 28 times for the Whites.
His return would add another weapon to Leeds’ arsenal, and seeing him back in action for the U23 side will certainly put smiles on the faces of many supporters.
