da betano casino: Ligue 1 side Marseille are interested in making a move for Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham this summer, according to The Daily Record.
What’s the story?
The Hoops are facing a summer of squad rebuilding after the unveiling of Neil Lennon as the club’s new permanent manager and there are plenty of players expected to leave and arrive before the end of August.
One star that could be heading out the door is Ntcham, with the paper reporting new Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen on adding the Frenchman to his new look team ahead of the new season.
Having scouted him extensively, he is said to be high on the French club’s transfer wishlist, rivalling long-time admirers Porto for his signature over the next few months.
A fee is not mentioned in the report, but you’d expected the Hoops to be keen on receiving a decent return on the reported £4m investment in him when he signed from Manchester City in 2017.

Should Celtic cash in?
The central midfield area is one of the strongest parts of the Celtic squad currently and even as it stands Ntcham would not be considered a starting eleven regular when everyone is fit and available.
Scott Brown and Callum McGregor are immediately ahead of him, while Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic are both preferred too.
When you take into account there are rising stars like Ewan Henderson also becoming available, receiving a decent fee for the Frenchman and reinvesting it into other areas of the team could be seen as good business.
High potential
Ntcham does have significant potential though and that makes any decision on his future this summer much more difficult. He’s produced some exceptional performances for Celtic and gives the impression he has an ability far beyond what he shows for the Hoops consistently.
That lack of consistency is a problem, but what if Neil Lennon could remedy it? Celtic could have one of the most exciting young midfielders in Britain on their hands.
Only Lennon will know if the player has the heart and desire to be a Hoops mainstay over the next few years. If he sees that in him then Celtic must keep hold of him, but any major bids would certainly be asking a big question, especially when the manager knows the cash could be utilised on defensive reinforcements.
Either way, it’s a big decision for the Hoops to make.
